Container import
From early 2021, we started container import for goods from China and India. Initially, this container trade focused only on goods that needed to be transited within mainland Europe, such as Germany and Poland.
Due to crowds around UK ports, a UK customer also chose to have goods that needed to be shipped to the UK come via the Netherlands. These goods are shipped from China and India to the depot in Rotterdam, and from there the goods are transported on to their final destination in the UK using our own ferry trailers. This has caused a big increase in container transport for our company from early 2022.
Once the situation at English ports improved and a greater understanding of the intricacies of container imports had been gained, we also started to import goods directly into the UK from China, organising every element of the process including UK transport to the final destination.
